ABOUT

The most nutritious food on the planet was inedible

So the industry put it in capsules.
A powder to swallow, never a food to eat.

THE STORY

The only thing missing from spirulina was that it tasted good

As a child, Hugo used to eat them every morning; his mother insisted on it for his growth. Have you ever tried it? It doesn’t taste good. And you’ll never forget it.

But he could feel the benefits. A superfood with just one flaw—but a deal-breaker: no one wants to eat it. So, together with Pierre and Nicolas, they decided to fix that flaw. It’s calledEdo®, spirulina that actually tastes good.

OUR PROCESS

Edonization is what makes spirulina so delicious.

When I say “I,” I really mean “we.” No one knew how to change the taste and appearance of spirulina without altering what it is, and without using any additives or flavorings.

So we invented the process that was missing:Edonization®, which involves cooking spirulina with oil using patented methods that are precisely controlled to the degree.

Five years of work, in collaboration with AgroParisTech and, above all, with consumers, led to the creation of Edo®, a delicious, clean-label protein with an umami flavor.
